An after dark adventure for all levels of skill and fitness. Butterfly Creek is a popular daytime destination known for its accessibility and beauty. Nighttime Madness takes you on a unique night time adventure through native beech forest in this iconic area of the East Harbour Regional Park. You will race in pairs on well formed tracks. Night racing is a sociable experience ... what better way to spend an evening with your partner, friends or children. There is something about racing in the dark amongst 100’s of bobbing head torches that brings out our need to connect with others … Join the madness!
Nighttime Madness is one of the very few race challenges run the dark. Racing is undertaken in pairs and takes in some of the best bush in the region, as well as spectacular night time views of Wellington and the Harbour. It rates as a fun and friendly event to place on your calendar.

- VASQUE Extreme Nighttime Madness ~ 15.4km with a 480m climb. Limited to 50 runners. Participants need to be experienced adventure runners.

SILVA Butterfly Creek Nightime Madness Classic ~ 7.7km for walkers and 9.75km for runners with a 295m climb. Achievable for all levels of fitness and experience.
- SWAZI Youth Challenge ~ 7.7km with a 295m climb. Designed for young people 11 -15 years.

SWAZI Young and the Restless Challenge ~ 7.7km with a 295m climb. Designed for an adult and youth pair. Youths must be 7 – 15years. Adults are 18+
